Do I need a pontoon boat trailer at all?

Sounds silly but there is a reason for this question. If you will be traveling to different locations with your pontoon boat or you live a great distance from your dealer, you will definitely need to buy a Pontoon boat trailer.

However, if you only launch your pontoon in the Spring and take it out at the end of season, your Pontoon boat dealer may, for a reasonable fee, (a lot less than the cost of a trailer) be able to launch and retrieve your pontoon boat for you.

At Columbia Marine, we have several customers that live on local lakes and have us launch there pontoon with our pontoon trailer in the spring, leave it at dock all season, then call us in the fall to remove there Pontoon boat, perform the required pontoon winter service, and store it for the winter. Pontoon boat dealer's trailers usually are capable of delivering boats back to the customers location (or any other location for that matter) and placing them on the ground or in a garage for safe winter storage.
